The Reminisants have been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout New England since 1973. The band specializes in oldies music from the 1950s through the ’90s, playing a collection of great music for all kinds of musical tastes and generations. The band was formed in 1973 by three Waltham High School friends, Dom Viscione, Mike Joyal and Fran Doorakian and has since expanded to the current six-man group.
The band has performed for just about every type of event imaginable from concerts, parades, and festivals, to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and ocean cruises. For sixteen years they have entertained on weeklong cruises to Bermuda on Norwegian Cruise Lines, performing on board the ship and on the island. During the Summer, the band performs at more than 60 outdoor concerts and festivals.
The Reminisants are fan favorites at The Sea Shell Stage at Hampton Beach along with many feasts and festivals in New England. The band has performed on the Esplanade and City Hall Plaza in Boston, Foxwoods Casino, Meadowbrook Arena in Gilford, NH, Twin River Casino, Plainridge Park Casino, The Stadium Theatre in Rhode Island and both The Big E and The Topsfield Fair and Gillette Stadium.
They have performed with many legends of Rock-N-Roll. They have shared the stage with; The Beach Boys, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Drifters, Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, Jay and The Americans, Shirley Alston Reeves, of The Shirelles, Johnny Rivers, Chubby Checker, The Tokens, The Del Vikings, Gary Lewis and The Playboys, The Temptations, The Crystals, The Chiffons, Martha and the Vandellas, The Marvellettes, The Supremes, The Flamingos, The Contours, Herb Reed and The Platters, The Coasters, The Belmonts, Bobby Lewis, Mitch Rider, B.J. Thomas, Grand Funk Rail Road, Three Dog Night, Poco, Dawn and Country Music stars, Gretchen Wilson, Josh Turner and Patty Loveless.
The Reminisants are actively involved in fund raising for many local and national charities, including The Multiple Sclerosis Society, ALS Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis, The National Liver Foundation, The Doug Flutie Jr. Autistic Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of New England.
The Reminisants are proud of their reputation as one of New England’s most popular and consistent stage acts. The band averages over 180 performances a year and currently books engagements 6 to 18 months in advance.
